Yes i know what you mean, it was simply a thought, and if so how to go about doing it.
What if while i was curing them i gave them a small period to air out or possibly alternate between curing and setting them to dry. Not too long but enough to where i might get a bit of the scent withought having to worry about the mold problem.
Thats the thing.
No matter what your thinking the whole drying curing process is exactly what it is.
You must first dry
then cure.
People have all kinds of curing methods.
The drying part is the same around the world.
They must hang and dry at least a week to get all the moisture out.
People have hang dryers
DIY dryers
Screen drying
etc..etc..
the method and process is the same.
No one sticks wet weed in no kind of container.
Be that Jars, tubs, bags, Or wooden boxes.
You are only asking for mold problems.
I think you are on a good thing though. I like the idea of curing in a wooden box.
I just think most people use jars because it is air tight.
The reason you have to burp them is to let the built up moisture out.
The only problem with curing in a wooden box is can it be air tight?
If its not then you'll end up with harsh tasting pot.
Good luck though
