Curly leaves and CO2 Q

My five plants are three weeks old. growing using NFT. medium is rockwool. ph of solution is 5.8, I'm using half strenght nutes (ppm 600,ionic grow) plus I add some h202 for more oxygen and to prevent bacterial growth. I use tap water and let it sit for 48 hours for chlorine to evaporate. RH is 60 to 65%. Temperature is 78 degrees.Light is 4x 25 watts T5 at 1 inch of the top of the plants. I manually water them every two days because they are not yet into my NFT system. 9inch oscillating fan blowing directly on the plants at low speed plus extracting fan to bring new air in.

The problem I'm having is that some of my plants have curly leaves and I don't know what the problem is. I checked everything and all seem to be normal. Can it be the fan blowing directly on them is the problem, because I've read somewhere that u get strong stem and branches when u put a fan on them.

I would also like to know that if I spray my plants with carbonated water will they get any additional co2. Has anyone try that before? Is there any risks in doing so?

I'll post pictures soon cuz I loss my camera cable and need to get a new one.
Thanks all for your input.

Are you over watering? sometimes after i water my leaves curl then after they get done drinkin they straightin back out.
and for c02 why doing u make a DIY c02? water sugar and yeast , a milk jug and a small hose with holes poked it in and put it around the base of the plants

As far as spraying plants with carbonated water is concerned, it doesn't make much sense to me. If any particular spot on a wetted leaf is getting some co2 nucleating on it, then another spot is getting none. Regular ass air on the other hand has co2 evenly diffused throughout; assuming there's air movement then co2 is constantly available to the leaf.

Hi Wvmade, thank for your reply. Now back to business, no I don't think I'm overwatering coz I wait till the rockwool is a bit dry on top and much lighter when I just water them. And thanks for the diy co2, I've just google it, and found out how to make some. hav u try it personnaly? hav u notice any accelarated growth?

Hi lowerarcchy, I had like firstly to thank u for your input. About air circulation I think I'm alright, I've got an air intake from the outside to my 3f x 3f x 5f tent so basically I've got some co2 but obviously not enough for my plants to grow like crazy. People say that there is an average of 300ppm of co2 in the air and that the optimum amount for bud growing is around 1500ppm. So i was trying to find a cheap way to add some more fro my plants. and I'm grateful for your reply, any idea about the curling of the leafs?

What part of the plant are the leaves on? Do they curl up like a canoe or do they curl down and look limp?

The leaves tend to curl down and a bit limpy too. hopefully I'll be able to upload some pics today. Thank u again 4 u'r help lowerarchy. By the way I'm gonna transfer the plants to my NFT system today as the root system seems well established ( lots of white roots). I'll probably have to throw 1 plant away though because the leaves look weird and large ( like a mutant plant), I'll upload the pics tonight because the lights are off right now and I don't want to disturb them.

About the DIY CO2, you might wanna ask your girl what she thinks, mine freaked out when I said I was using live yeast to make CO2. Don't want any yeast infections!

Also men can get yeast infections and its very painful from what I hear. Plus if you dump it by accident (I did once) you got mold all over your plants

in my experience, curling leaves are most commonly caused by 3 things, Over watering, underwatering (but if youre watering everyday, i dont think that is the cause), and bad pH. With high pH they seem to curl sideways and each leave tries to twist in a weird way.

So maybe you are over watering ? Hard to say without pictures to see what is actually going on

I don't hav any problem anymore. My missus destroyed all my plants when she found out that I was growing. Look like I'll hav to buy some sh*tty food until I find a solution to grow my own, I'll probably try outdoor when it's a bit warmer, I've found a proper place in the wood.
