Nice set up. I have a home made UC system. Are you doing vert or hort light? How many buckets?

i got 6 xxxl air cooled hoods.. 26 8gallon buckets
i have home made 4 gallon RDWC that i build from scratch as well--25 buckets, 4 lights..

How many runs have you had using the UC and what is your nute of choice?

I think 8 or 9 so far... I used Dutch Master before. Then after seeing what my buddy did with a same system --- i switched to House & Garden. The only thing i still use from Dutch Master series is ZONE ( 1ml/g )


p.s. if anyone wants a feed schedule that i use, feel free to ask. I think so far my system is running smooth, no deficiencies, no burned leaves, no mold, no bugs, no brown roots, no dying plants...

I plan on doing UC on my next grow. Got everything except the water chiller. Whats your yield per plant?

I'm not running no UC factory set up but I am running one. lol. I have the 8gal black'd out bins and lids with modified 3" bulkheads instead of the 2". Built it myself as well using there bulkheads and growth modules really.

I bought buckets, seals and lids... All the PVC pipes got from home depot and cut them myself...
Do you use cages ??? - i guess now you can buy them directly pre cut with a perfect fit from Current Culture web site for 19$ each ( thats a lot of fucking $$ if you got a number of buckets!) Cheap way to do it under 100$ is to buy 2 rolls of 44 inch tall fence from home depot and cut that shit yourself..... took me about 2 hours to cut it and make holes so i can reach inside and prune......



P.S. if anyone needs help or measurements on how to make cages---- let me know.

Cool. This setup is really easy to run when you get it on point and figure out all the little details .......
I dont measure yield by each plant, i go by the # of lights..... Its all about what kind of strain you grow, and how well you do it.... numbers vary... over a pack per light thou.....

Im not sure what your referring to as cages ?

I bought the pvc from lowes as well. Thing is with the 3" bulk heads the pvc should be cut on a tiny angle to have them seal correctly. I learned this the hard way. All the my system is leak free running it took a while to get it right. Plus for some dumb ass reason I get a small leak if my pump shuts off. lol.

Oh I got ya. That's in a different pic. Why i was confused. lol.

As for the leak I do have a tiny one from the pump if it stops but there's another one around the res bulkhead connection. Not really worried about it though. Its leak free running and not to sure how long I will be sticking with it.

Going to grow out a few crops with it but I'm in the works of building a new vertical setup that will probably be lp aero.

With the UC I will be doing a 4ftx8ft screen on top to scrog the four plants as well. I will have the net probably about 16-18in above the top of the container.

I have a grow shop down the street from me and they sell the cages for like 4 bucks as well as 4x8 netting for about 8 bucks.

As for that plant with the cages I recieved it about that height a little smaller and I fim'd it to stop upwards growth and threw the net on top of it. I had it right on it but I raised it an inch to promote some growth to see what i get before i flip her.

I keep my ppm 500-600 first week bloom. Dont recommend going over 1000ppm, might burn them...

hi guys i am also been doing my homework for a long time now and im resdy to get what i want which is a under current system, but i have a questions that really need answering so if anyone could help it would be much appreciated

-if ill be growing(blooming) in a tent thats 6ftx8ft with a 1000w, i would like to know how many plants i could potentialy put?
-and i know that its really hard to tell beacause there are so many variable involved but still would like to know what a ruff estimate of a yeild would be with undercurrent set up for my space (6x and a 1000w ?

Well I believe CCH2O recommends a 600 to 1000watts over 4 plants. That's to grow some tree's though at 1lb a piece. Still its hard with the under current because of the spacing being predetermined anyway so you'll need enough like to cover what ever distance the UC is going to cover.

I have a 4 site in a 4x8 tent doing a scrog across the whole thing. Going to see how it works anyway. lol. I am looking to run either my 1k and my 300w led that's supposed to be a 1k also. Or if I get the money I'll be doing two 600's in there.

What kind of buckets do you want to use? Personally from my own experience i would NOT but anything bigger than 4 gallon buckets in your tent......
If you have an option- dont use the tent- more room to work on your plants, + more hight...
