cut in half??

this is my first grow. i have 3 plants. 2 are about a week old and the other is about 4 days. the younger one is doing fine. but the other 2 grew to about 2inches tall and then just fell over! after some research i found that i had been over watering them.. on the plants that are wilted the first inch of the stem looks fine, and the leaves look fine even though they're laying on the soil, but the part of the stem that is wilted looks like it would snap with a strong wind. my question is..do i just leave it alone, or can i cut it in half and it regrow????

dont cut it in half, thats the worst thing ive ever heard

see how things grow, keep your lights close to prevent stretching and dont over water

thats what i needed to hear..lights are3-4 inches away. two 34W flours. fan. i just knew they would regrow if you clone them, didnt know if it would work...this my first grow.

you need to get a fan blowing on them to strengthen to stems

Use a bit of a bamboo stick to hold them up

one approach people use is to bury the stem - carefully lift the plant with a pencil and add dirt by hand until there is less than an inch of stem left. if you water it properly and keep the light close it should grow out much healthier.

i just took your advice and burried it. at least it looks better now, looks like it just sprouted. lets hope this works!

^Good idea. Just don't keep the soil too wet, of the stem will rot and kill the plant.
