Cut off a plant by the stock, and have it go through a healthy veg, and flower?

Why restart growing at all? Just buy huge glass jar and cure the whole plant with buds attached, then re veg/flower it! No need to replant those pesky seeds/clones!!

Joking aside, I think he meant after its harvested, re-veg the "stock/stem" then re-flower it? I dont know I think thats what he was saying, perhaps I interpreted it wrong.

I mean if I cut off the plant by the stock after a healthy grow, and harvest would it regrow into a new healthy weed plant with more ease that planting a clone. It seems more practical to me because all the root systems would still be there

I think you need to leave some growth on the plant in order for it to re-grow (veg). I don't think you can cut it off at the base and just get a new plant - but I been wrong before - maybe you can but everything I read said to leave some growth on it and it will turn (provided I'm assuming the plant was not mutilated at harvest.

Your confusing me and probably others with the word "stock". Are you sure you don't mean STALK? I was also under the impression that you could NOT clone an almost harvestable/harvested plant. I have heard of revegging a plant that has started flowering, but not regrowing it totally after everything has been cut off of it. Cannabis is an annual plant with some exceptions but id say cloning is going to be the way to go...

you can do just that, it takes time and effort, but I have seen it. what you do is when your plant is ready to be harvested, cut off MOST of the growing buds, not all of them, trim the tops down a bit, and put immediately on 18/6. it takes it takes a few months. Here:

keeping some mother stockIf I had a plant in the final stages of flower but i think i want to keep it alive after i harvest to try another run with her, how do i do it? i think i know how to put her back in to veg, but im not sure how to chop the goodies and preserve the woman...

RE: keeping some mother stockLeave some lower buds, give it some veg. nutes, put it under 24 hours of light and wate. I have done it a few times and it takes from 1 to 2 months depending on plant to revert to veg.

RE: keeping some mother stockYeah the new branches will come from lil buds. Try to remember that it will not drink like it once did and leave some fans on to tell you when to water.

RE: keeping some mother stockI've saved a few strains even when they had buds on them.
Make sure to remove the buds after a few weeks to avoid mold,

take your cutting, take off a few branches, and then dip the stem where the branches were taken off in rooting hormone.
The area where u took the branches off contain auxins and giberellins which when told what to do (by the rooting hormone) will be the site where the roots start to grow from.

place under 24 hours light.

If you don't take the cutting at the right spot it will take way to long to root and most likely die.

RE: keeping some mother stockYeah..it's not too late to take cuts, but it's a longer rooting process and has a much higher failure rate during flowering. It's absolutely do-able though. It really helps to use a heating mat and a humidity dome if you have access to them. If not...it's worth the few bucks to pick them up along with the rooting hormone. Some people like the powders, but I've had a higher success rate using the Klonex gel. (Not sure I'm spelling that right). Mist the inside of the dome heavily several times a day, and the plants a few times too. By keeping the humidity as high as possible, the plant's moisture needs will be provided by the leaves until it can grow a root system.

When I take cuts, I take a "first cut" on my clone, then hold it under water in a big clear bowl and with a sharp, sterile single edge razor blade, I make a cut on the stem at a 45 degree angle, and then I "split" the stem by cutting up into it about a 1/4 to 1/2". This exposes more of the surface area the roots can come from and will result in a larger root system faster. Then just dip in the hormone gel, and into your plug. The reason for taking the final cut underwater is that this prevents air bubbles from causing an embolism. My success rate on clones shot WAY up after I started this technique.

"I also have a couple chocolate chunks which were from reversed, can't say the genetics didn't mutate on me, it grows little buds where seeds would grow and keeps on vegging at a fast rate.
gives me a taste of the buds for sure any time I rub them with my finger, hopefully it hasn't been pollinated or something.

The good news is that the genetics will not mutate. You can fuck the plant up all you want, but it won't change any of the genetic qualities. Also, I'm wondering if the "little buds" you're seeing aren't preflowers, that are a normal part of the non-flowering (vegging) plant's anatomy. All plants will exhibit sexual organs (flowers) when they reach sexual maturity.

Here are several answers from a post similar to this, I hope it helps
