Cutting fan leafs?

ive heard that you can cut the fan leafs in half across the leaf to allow light into lower buds, is this true?

There are plenty of threads about why not to fuck with the fan leaves. Try reading them. If the plant didn't need them she wouldn't grow them.

I tuck fan leaves down or to the side if they get in the way of flowers. You can trim the tips if needed.
