Cutting plant at its roots for last week?

Thinking of doing 1 week flush, then 1 week of the plant cut at base and put into a bucket with minimal water and a airstone, also complete darkness for that week.

why would you do that?

I read somewhere of someone doing this as a flush and shocker to the plant the final week to get all the juices out

it would certainly be a shocker. I would advise against this method especially when the buds fatten up the last couple of weeks. Try traditional flushing methods or don't flush at all - either would be better then hacking her down a week early and treating it like a giant clone.
