Cuttings not rooting properly?

I took some cuttings from my 6 week old plants, using clonex and rockwool cubes. The cuttings look healthy but its been over a week now and the roots are making a small white ball at the base of the stem rather than spreading through the rockwool. Does anyone know what this is? Reedie

Don't know what your talking about...doesn't sound to
bad. As long as your clones are still green and perky,
they should root in time.

That's where the roots grow from, and they form little bumps first. Give them another week, and wait for your plants to show new growth.

Are you sure it's not cobweb cold? It happens sometimes with cuttings, and can be deceptive to those who don't know what it looks like. I grew familiar with it when I grew some fungi.

If it looks to be the actual root structure though, then it's just a tiny root ball. It should be good to go if that is this case... It will eventually grow through.

On my cuttings, this usually happens along the stem and is the start of the roots. I'd say give it another week and let us know what happens, or sooner if it actually roots

sounds normal here too.. my last cuttings took near on 20 days to become properly rooted.. patients my friend
