Daikin mini split ?

I am about to get a mini split a daikin 24kbtu. My question is all the specs I see for daikin (unless you get really expensive model) seem to say they only provide cooling down to 50 degrees outside. My Ac guy insist that there is a way to get it to run low ambient cool. But I can’t find parts or any mention of it anywhere on the internet. One store told me yeah it’s possible with an air baffle (but he didn’t seem so sure) and another store told me it’s possible but he is not sure how to do it.

Does any one here use one of the cheaper Dakin models(still not cheap) and have it modified for low ambient cooling. And before anyone says just use fans to cool the room when it’s cold, that’s not an option I want to go with I would just switch to another brand, only problem with that is if I order off line none of the companies I know of will honor warranty.

Typically a low ambient kit just controls the outside compressor fan
So it runs warmer in cold weather...Not sure on that brand but I imagine a universal low ambient kit/pressure switch would work on it as well
Sounds like your a/c guy is steering you right

Yes I just downloaded installation manual and there is actually just a wire that needs cut so that it can be run in facility mode and depending on wether or not direct wind might need a wind baffle. So I feel better been stressing for like a week or more and couldn’t seem to find answer anywhere so if course I did right after postings

Good , never needed a wind baffle as most units aren't installed out far from the wall
Good luck
