Damn Animals Are Digging Up My Ladies

I didn't use blood meal or bone meal. I bought some balanced fertilizer with feather meal and chicken shit in it amongst other minerals, and I mixed it in each hole. Anyone know what could be digging them up to try and get to the fertilizer. I'm in the Northeast and I wanted to get predator urine but I need to figure out what the hell is doing it. I'm gonna sprinkle some hot pepper flakes or cayenne pepper powder around each hole and hopefully when they taste the fire they'll fuck off. Mothballs did nothing. If anyone else has any ideas please feel free to chime in.

Raccoon or maybe a possum.
Try setting another plant with completely different nutrients minus any animal components.
Or just dig a hole and fill with the new medium and wait to see if there's any activity.

Dam woodchuck already got my corn....pretty sure you have a varmint issue. Try installing one of those plastic owls with the big yellow eyes - that will help scare em away. Also you can tie some empty pie plates or turkey pans on a fence nearby your garden- when the wind blows it makes a sound most critters or birds will hate. Worked for me. Good luck happy growing

Yeah man if you got a dog just take him out there, I'm sure he will feel inclined to be a dick and piss on them anyways, It'll stop those little fuckers.
Mine does anyways I have a big ass wolf so he does the job, but shit next time your out there and gotta go don't be afraid it does help as well.

There is also the option to get a bit of chicken wire and make little fences and what not.
Hope this helps. :leaf:

Sounds bigger than mice or voles
You can camp out, sit there all day and night or...buy a $90 trailcam.
I would cut a 2-3 foot square of chicken wire or hardware cloth, cut a slot in it for the stalk and put it around the base, flat on the ground, stake it down so they dont pull on it. You can paint it or camo it with leaves n shit and rain still gets through. Critters dont like the feel of it on their paws
