Dank Smell Anyone?

I too grow in soil as I like to get my hands a bit dirty and besides, it feels closer to nature if ya catch my drift! ?uesti0n! My plant just started on it's 6thWk into 'flowering' as 0f 2day and I was wondering if it's normal f0r the dank smell to go and come back as it pleases? After I transplanted into a 5gal. pot(4thWk), the following day it was moist & stinky as it returned 4rm not smelling like that 4 awhile. A couple 0f days later, it doesn't have that wet feel but still smells quite strong when walking into the house but as I get up close it seems to be a dry smell as if it was already harvest. I thght the smell would be wet stinky throughout the whole flowering process?
I'm guessing it's due to me not having a 'hood' as I place my plant in my bathroom(s) during flowering stage due to it having a HPS light(lucky me HeHe). It's possibly drying it 0ut cuz it does smell more wet in the mourning. Just would like to get some view points on this...

From my understanding it is normal, because while the plants sleep at night the sugars and enzymes travel down the stems and into the roots.
