So had a previous grow running but ran into problems, decided it was appropriate to start a new journal. So here we go again

Let them soak in the light yesterday, had light about 7' above them. Dropped light down to 40", going to see how these seedlings respond. Def going to be picking up a 12k mini split during summer time as at 1000w she puts off a lot of heat.

Hitting my local spot today to pick up the Gavita master controller EL1 so I can really get the room dialed in. Thing is bad ass controls dimming and also like the sunrise and sunset feature. Can also set a high temp to automatically dim light to keep room at ideal temps.

Sold my iphone 6 plus i had laying around and went to my local spot and picked up a gavita master EL1, she is beautiful. My room on 1000w is floating around 75.5f. i set the day and sunset ramp for 15 mins. will slowly turn my light on to full power. setup the high heat temp shut off to 90f and auto dim at 78f. Set the lighting schedule for 18/6. This thing is bad ass. Ran me 255$ out the door and i couldnt be happier. Sorry for the shitty pic but i used my laptop to take it.

Lol no deep pockets but i love my hobby, fascinated with growing indoors and hydroponics. when i hit the hydro store its like xmas lol. Ive been watching the seedlings and they are showing no signs of stress and are loving this light so far. There already 1.5" and first leaves are growing. i think it being at 40" is fine for now. If i see anything negative ill raise the light. I have to run the bulb for atleast 100hrs before i can dim or boost it..... Its going down to 600w or 700w here soon during veg. This EL1 lets me set the wattage to what ever i want in 1w increments which is cool as shit.

Also picked up 2 new lids for the other bucket, cut the hole to big in the other lid lol, and the epicenter. got a thicker 5.5 inch net pot im testing out also. might end up switching. System is setup up completly and finished dialing the room in. Things are looking good so far

I just got offered a Gravita De, a chiller, and the Hanna Combo for $300... Thinking I might take it and run. How many times have you run De?

Not much exp with DE setups but what ive read and seen blow single ended out of the water if you have the room capable of running them. Im impressed so far wwith the setup i have and thinking of getting 3 more 1000e setups for a future grow. The hps bulb is full spectrum that you can veg and bloom with, which sold me. There also compact and sexy asf and the controller just puts the iceing on the cake.....

Whats up with the Top Booster? You've used it or some one told you about it? Great grow by the way. You do know that the people have been waiting on some one to run 1 gavita to maybe use as test info vs something else. I sure hope you kill it in there!!!!

I have a buddy that runs 8 gavitas. He only manages around a pound per light, I think he sucks at growing lol. I have another friend that runs an ac/de light and he consistantly yields 2.25-2.5 pounds per light on a 4K room. In the past I've was generally able to yield 1.5-2.0 pounds per light on magnum xxxls. My harvest right now is looking to fall short of that on the magnums though, I'm also using bulbs I ran 5 years ago that have probably 4 cycles on them. Just started growing again and doing a soil run just to get my new room set up and in check. Setting up an rdwc after this now that I got my temps where I need them. My plants are about 1 month into 12/12 most have about another month to go. Running 13 strains I'm not familiar with. The first picture are plants that are 3 weeks into 12/12image.jpegimage.jpeg

I just met him not long ago. He said he's been growing for ages and seems to be pretty happy about his yields as he was the one who brought it to my attention. I didn't have to ask. I don't offer my opinion cause I'm just a noob that can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Thanks, I'll be turning the lights to run the length of the room once this is harvested though and adding 2 more, running 2 rows of 4. It's hard to tell in the photos but that room is 32' long X 11' wide at the narrowest point. Only have 6 - 1000w magnums in it right now. I was worried about heat issues but come to find out even with the fans off for the lights my room wouldn't get above 74 degrees. Had to add a 55k btu furnace to get it up too 82 degrees but once there it stays with little fluctuation.

hello mongo, i believe the top booster is just a flower additive that house and garden throws out there. My buddy had bud xl and the top booster laying around and gave me 2 new bottles. love free stuff. Yeah Im stoked about getting my hands on this gavita, i was running an ac/de with a solis tek matrix and there DE bulbs. Im not knocking them but this gavita burns my eyes compared to the other setup i had. sold it on craigs for 400$ and picked up the gavita.

Have you used top booster before? Bud xl great i guess, but top booster i don't know man. I believe its a piece of shit that causes premature yellowing in week 5 of flower. I have 5 litters here collecting dust for the past 4 years. Im freighted of it. Now the bud xl is fine, just a bloom food not a bud enhancer. Some times i wonder why H&G did that, but i guess its because the A&B is used in veg and bloom and the bud xl is their bloom food. I love the aqua flakes bro with out a doubt. Just a suggestion would be multi zen and dump the Top booster.
