Day before harvest..24 hrs dark or no?

First grow getting ready to cut tomorrow, lights usually on at 11 pm. Just curious...leave the lights off? Heard that 24 hrs of dark day before harvest is good. also, they are bone dry..skipped their last watering due yesterday.

Give them some water (not much but enough for 3 days), manicure them and give them 3 days of straight darkness.

They don't need the light for the last 3 days and its a waste of electricity.
They also don't have enough time to do anything due to the stress.

Quite a few people checked out this subject and no one found any reason not to do it. Some people found its the same with and without light so why don't you save a bit on electricity?
