dead leaves in soil

just curious, some dead leaves i have chopped off i leave in the pot, from my knowledge of plants (not bud) it wouldnt do it any damage it'd just recycle it, is that the same with weed or does it do damage?

yes it should just break down and "recycle", but I think your also increasing your chance for bugs

It doesn't actually 'increase' bugs, but it gives them a place to hide.

If your gonna compost the leaves I would do that in a compost pile. by the time the leaves break down into something your plant can use the plant will be done and you will be growing a different plant.
