So I've been thinking of buying a new, better light for the flower tent. The tent is 2x3x4ish. I have 2 cheap blurples, and a 4 way of cfl bulbs. Pretty much a bare minimum.
This is my thought= cut a hole in the top if the tent sized to a 4-600w cfl and mount the light on top of the tent. It would solve 2 issues I have, 1-heat, 2-height. Any reason this won't work?

If you are cycling the air from the room surrounding the tent back into the tent, having the lamp expel its heat in said room won't provide much benefit than having the lamp inside the tent.

If you are cooling the room surrounding the tent adequately and exhausting tent heat away from that room, then keeping the heat outside of the tent will definitely make a difference.

The tent holds a lot of heat and the closet is far cooler, so itd still be cooler inside. We just bought a room AC from Amazon for $100. If it cools my bedroom good, I'm thinking of adding one to the closet, or at least the bedroom that closet is in. If not, I'm thinking of venting it into the attic

Word of caution: Venting into an attic that isn't ventilated properly or adequately can cause mold and other significant issues. From my experience, the vast majority of attic spaces are not properly vented. Take care if you choose this approach.

If your AC is capable of cooling the bedroom and the closet, you should be golden. Otherwise, stuff the AC into the closet, and vent the closet into either the bedroom or the hallway it attaches to. I'm assuming here that venting out the window isn't possible.

Unfortunately I'm in a no grow state. I will work out the heat. I will just need to re route the exhaust lines and carbon filter.
Is 100w per sq ft too much? 400w puts me at 66
 
god anything but cfls ill take blurples any day from cfls why not just do vesta strips? im pretty sure their cheap as hell lol. @Renfro just gotta pull that pound from that 15 watt cfl ren I know u can do it with brawndo at your side . :lol: ;) bongsmilie

I turned that off on my phone, made life a lot easier for me. Some of the auto corrects can be embarrassing lol.
