Decrease humidity possibilities

:bigjoint:Hey guys i have a 1.2m by 1.2m by 2m grow room with an osilating fan and an extration fan which is more than sufficient for the job. My inlet and outlets of air are at the opposite ends of the house. I just got a new rh meter as my old one droped and broke and it reads 73 im now in the 6th week of flowering (i think).

I have 6 plants in there and water approximatly every 7 days around 5 litres per plant each time or 1.3 gallons.

I may be able to fit a dehumidifier in my room but i believe my air circulation will cause the dehumidifier to have litle or no effect.

Ive heard all the controversy around watering techniques, every week or every day oppinions. my preferance is once a week basically because once ive had a few puffs i couldnt really be bothered (clones were a pain).

would watering more often with less water decrease humidity?

My temps are low at the moment around 20c so i turned down my extraction fan to try and increase my temps.

So basically how do i decreae humidity??????? :bigjoint:

More airflow, which you ruled out, or get a dehumidifier (costly), or you could try some desiccant. Damp Rid refills are only a couple bucks at a hardware store, you can pour a bunch in a coffee filter or something and suspend it over a cup or saucer to catch the drippings. Your hygrometer could be fooling you though. 73% is pretty high for a small room with so much airflow. Maybe you should test your hygrometer. Look up calibrating hygrometers, there's a method you can use with salt and water in a ziploc bag to ensure your hygrometer is accurate (digital ones are often off).

At 6 weeks in you can't afford to F around. I would hook up a Dehumidifier stat. If you move enough air you'd be fine that is if the air comming in is less humid.

Desiccant is a material that absorbs water. Damp Rid is a brand of desiccant used to lower humidity to help in preventing mildew and such in storage areas. Like above said, 6 weeks in and it may be futile and not fast enough to help you to much with this grow, but at least you will be prepared in the future.

i slowed my exaust fan and slowed my ocilating fan this droped my humidity by 20rh straigh away. My whole grow hasnt been this high, it was just the short time that my reader was outa action. Hopfully theyll still be alright. At 6 weeks in i may have just stressed them which could be a positive, but im omptimistic.
