Deep water culture adventure

Hello and welcome to my little project.

this will be my 2nd grow my first grow was in 2002 useing a 5gl bucket made into a DWC did great untill cops freaked me out and i trashed the plant she was at her 5 weeks veg she was 4' -8" tall and 3' to 4' round she was so freaking beautiful fastfoward 2 years and i bought a 300 site Colosseum. yield 13 pound 3 oz 117 days 5 weeks veg 9 weeks flower 270 plants spider mites ate more then half the crop.Got freaked out about the cops again so i quit.

But lord and behold I moved to Colorado and i have my red card and my wife has hers so i don't have to worrier about it.

so we are starting off with a 5 plant set-up and as you can see I am in the process of converting my hottub/bathtube into a 4' x 8' x 8' tall grow room.

There was a large light fixture right above the tube this will be my light and room exhaust the hole is 14" round.

that's where i will mount the light rail.after light rail & 1000W light is installed i will have 52-1/2" of grow space from top of bucket to bottom of the glass of the 8" air cool light tube.

hose clamped a rubber 3" hose onto the tube and put a spicit head on the other end for easy clean up.

I wrapped the 5/8" plywood completely with really thick plastic and leaned the plywood towards the drain in the tube for easy clean ups.I will be framing in a intake using a 8" 500 CFM inline fan in the back of the room down by the bottom where you see the cut in the plastic.

OK lets talk about Clones these are my options

There are many Despencery out here that sell clones of there strains that they grow and sell.But there clones look sad and i dont realy know what i am getting.
Know Clone Banks I have 2 in my area one gets bad reviews the other ok soso reviews.

But The SOSO Clone Bank is one of the oldest MMJ clone wholesalers out there BUT again they have only 6 strains.

All of those strains are pretty sweet. Are you doing multiple strains? Or 5 of one plant? I go with afghani personally, sativa fan.

I am going to stick with 1 strain this time but I have another 5' x 5' x 8'tall grow room that i will setup after i see what this harvest produces.

I am leaning towards the blue dream it just looks nasty.

and from what i have been reading sativa is harder to grow then indica.

So either the
purple kush,
BC big Bud or
Blue Dream
from what i have been reading these are the most yield and easiest out of the 6 to grow

You're correct on the sativas being a bit harder to grow. They just seem a bit pickier and take a lot longer to finish. In that case, blue dream all the way.

Grow Room Update

Finish the 4' x 8' styrofoam sheets on both sides of walls installed the glass light air cooler fan "A 6" 350 CFM booster" instead of the 8" which i will be using as fresh intake
.
(To install 8" fan later I have a Hole already cut in plywood just have to cut a hole in the 4' x 8' styrofoam sheet covering the plywood)

Ran very thick insulated wire from breaker box where i will be installing a 60amp breaker in an empty slot I ran the wire across top of garage ceiling then stuck in through the same hole that some old TV cable was ran "Had To drill the hole a little bigger"
It comes out right next to the tube. one more hole through the wall into the bathroom and there you go all the power i need.

What? Afghani is the typical indica. A blind wino could grow out most indicas as they use far less light than sativas. The indicas are generally far shorter and they are generally bushier. The indicas are a shorter grow time as well, generally speaking.

Just going off of OPs info.

Blue dream all the way. It will yield good and some dank.

Afghani #1 and all afghani med strains I've run into are pure indica.. Who knows ...folks name stuff whatever they want.

4 feet eight inches tall at 5 weeks and 3 or 4 feet around steam ?!?!?!? WHAT WERE YOU FEEDING THAT BABY

Well I am Back my job took me out of town longer then I thought.

No more out of town work for me.

Enough of me lets talk about the room.

ok this is what i have so far

New thermostat controller "Set at 68F heater turns on 80F turns off"
I have the 1000watt blowing into the room as well i have tested the room with this setup and my temp low in a 12 hour run was 66F and my hi was 81F pretty good i am going to turn the thermo up to 83F for the clones that where given to me by a friend the strain is called Sweet jack and I have smoked some and let me say "DAMMM" so it was an easy choose to go with. installed 4 inline vans cfm250 each another cheap air pump covered everything in mylar and we are off to the races here are some pics.

ooh I am using GH 3 part this set
the clones where rooted in rockwool then i put them in the net pot with some hydroton that had been soaking in PH 5.5 water for 2 days the water in the 5gl buckets was just strait water set at a PH of 5.5 to 5.8 water temp 67deg.

so should I start the clones on nutrients either tomorrow or the next day what do you guys and gals think??

General Hydroponics and one hell of a grow room co2 the works i was getting an 1-1/2 inch growth a day i shit you not

Update on the baby's

First we named the plants
The first plants name is:
"I am # One " filled & drain 5 gl buckets 3# time twice with 1tsp proxcide
and 1 strait 100 ppm water.in separate bucket I Mixed 1/2tsp to 5 gl of GHgrow & GHMicro set ph to 5.5 nute temp 68deg.

Next plants was names "Budweiser" by my friend After he used his beer to cool the nute down in the bucket (ha ha) Not really just made it look like that. lol
Did the same as above except I made the nute a little stronger ppm190 ph 5.5 always temp 69deg

How Bud got his name


Then we have "Pocky" because we pocked a hole in the lid tryig to plug the filler hose on to the fitting that pocked through so pocky.Same as above except PPm170 PH5.5 temp 71deg.

Next we have my wifes and she called it "T's Baby Doll" Same as above except she was the smallest so PPM160 PH 5.6 temp 73deg
