Hey there roll it up community, wanted to reach out and see what your thoughts on defoliating autoflower. I have been told and have read that it is best to leave autoflowers be due to them not having enough time to recover. However, I noticed my auto which is 7 weeks from seed growing pistils, so I’m assuming it’s transitioning into the flowering stage. I’ve also noticed a serious increase of foliage. I’m growing in a 2’x2’x4’ grow box that I built. I also have a clone with the auto in the box so they are starting to overlap due to them both “stretching” due to flowering. So, my question is if the plants bud growth be stunted due to me defoliating the plant, in particular the autoflower. The plants are starting to overlap so I’m not sure if it’s something to be concerned about but I would like the defoliate to make room and to also increase light penetration of the canopy.
Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks community!
