defoliating during flower

Hey
So I'm 19 days into flower and my tent is getting reeally packed...There is barely any light reaching the bud sites below the top canopy. I would love to remove some leaves to get some more light penetration and I know it's a very controversial thing. I just can't decide....any inputs?

your going to get alot of dick responses BC like you said its controversial but I'm in the same situation as you I have 3 under a 400 watt hps and the box is completely full 10 days into 12/12 I've been having to supercrop like crazy and it helped get light below but I'm going to stop that today don't want to stress them too much more, so I've been contemplating defoliation too , I'm still a new grower but I constantly research and ill tell you my plan from what I've researched maybe it will help
right before I flipped I removed all lower branches and leaves that were nit getting light and now I'm going to remove one leaf a day from the top until I feel like the lights even
only one a day to minimize stress anyways like I said im still a newb I don't know if it will help hurt or make a difference but that's my plan for a similar situation

Its a resiliant plant...it can handle it;) I transplant, top and lst all at the same time. Just make sure you have some nice lighting

I've seen some come out good for other people.I've tried
a leaf a day & 4days 4 leaves ever way I can think of & it
slows me way down every time.I don't veg so mine are short & bushy the pros say the leaf is transparent & the light will go through, not so for me.I have bleached my leaves with the light so close trying to get to the bottom.I been thinking about supplemental lights on bottom.
Good Luck & Heavy yields to ya!!

supplemental lower lighting might be more beneficial honestly man, I've defoliated in flower and gotten mixed results so its hard for me to say if its better to leave it or go ahead and remove

good luck whichever you choose man ✌
