Defoliation???

Most say no but I'm goin to try it as an experiment has any body tried it I know leaves collect light but over last couple of years I've noticed any plant any strain when naturally has fuck all leaves the buds on that's plant are noticeably larger and often ripen earlier too

It slowed mine down for a couple weeks when I cut a couple yellowing fan leaves off, so go ahead if you want....... It's your plant.

I've been doing it a bit and so far so good. It is faster than scrog.

I will be trimming after stretch is done because of space issues. Other than that I leave em alone. Experiment though, they are your plants and a little less bud is not a problem. Assuming they have less, which I doubt.

Just looking at my plants, I can tell I am going to get my best yield yet.
I have not been truly following the defoliation technique. I didn't do much in veg as I have a 600 watt.
I have just been picking off leaves that shade bud sites.
There has been no delay, no apparent stress and the lower bud sites are fat.

Try my method,lst and let some branches grow first if you haven't already and cut the fan leaves from the stalk only below the first 2 nodes,only the ones that are actually blocking branches but not the ones on the branches.If this is a budding plant then gone ahead and cut all the fans from the stalk except the top 2 on the top node.Trust me you do not want to remove all nor most of your fan leaves.Take it from me i grow 12/12 from seed ,LST and pull 2-4 oz per plant and they all end up under 2 1/2 feet.

I want to start a defoliation grow but just need a gd guide to go buy if any one could set me up with a cycle to stick to would be great

it is my thery that fans not needed after stretch is over

an i have removed leaves on side by side tests at different stages of flower
and saw no changes sum swere it hurts plants sum swear it helps buddage
try for self will see very littla change

sum plants start to shed fans at hlfway through flower is because not needed any longer
fans attached to stalks and branches aid in growthof stalks and branches

never touch fans at buds the ones that get covered in trichs and single leaves in buds

by time my plant is finished she is naked -but around buds

^^^ I agree about expriement part !!! to debunk the old saying or actually truth ? The expriement will always reveal the fact. Ya will have gain knowledge from this practice...just practice on one of your plants so you can see the difference.
