I am going to make cuttings. How do i tell if the plant im am operating on is a female? Someone mentioned that using neoprene collars makes a good medium. Would i just make a little tube of it and fill that with soil?

the neoprene collars are for cloning machines, just grab a bag of rapidrooter plugs or some rockwool cubes, some rooting compound a humidity tent an 18" 40 watt flourecent some razor blades aseedling pad, LABEL EVERYTHING, root cuttings then flower them you will then know the sex of the plants you took the cuttings from, the females can now be your mothers and give you armys of females....peace

So i have to flower my cuttings. I never knew that, so i need to apply light for 12/12 after the cuts have rooted?

Well you could also veg them untill they show pre-flowers, but taking cuttings and flowering the cutting is a better way to do it...sometimes pre-flowers can decieve you.
make sure the cuttings have established a strong root system usually 1-2 weeks and then yes give them 12/12 then you will know for sure the sex of the plant that you took the cuttings from.....Remember labeling plants and cuttings is critical...
