Did I Chop Early Opinions and Advice?

Plants been on 12/12 since Dec. 14 (8 weeks).
I only chopped the main colas Im plannig flowering the rest longer.
Its been drying for about 2 days so I havent had a chance to taste it.


Do you think I chopped em too early Im looking for a functional morning buzz?
This is my first grow and I still have most of the plants to harvest so any help is appreciated.

The first two pics look like they are perfectly ripe..; Perfect harvest timing!!!

It does look like you over fertilized the other 2 a little bit tho....
i hope you flushed before harvresting... otherwise your gonna have a strange taste with a sizzling/crackling sound when the weed burns....
now that you have an idea of what ripe marijuana looks like (your first 2 pics) determine whether the others are near that stage...=)
the harvest window stays open aprox. 2 weeks....

Pics aren't that clear but I see lot of hairs still they should be receding. Do you have a scope?

that 3rd pic looks like it could go longer, arent those white pistols sticking out? the pistols are red but don't look like they have receded that much. I would be curious about the trichs, I am sure it will get you high and it looks good just early IMO and not sure why everyone else saying it looks ready. Maybe I am the crazy one

they look great man...i agree with super that it wouldn't have hurt to go a little longer but i think you will be happy with the result

people have done much worse by chopping way to early..i think you did a good job

first two look you harvested at the right time for the type of buzz your looking for,the other two dont look ready at all.

First two were perfect the last two could have used around ten more days min. But it looks like you have the rest down pat nice bud size, Nice grow. Did You say those were only the tops? Don't forget to tack on around and up to a week for your plants to start to so say grow again you topping it the plant has to heal that first before it will get back on track so im told if im wrong someone correct me.

Thanks for all the advice. Like I said the main reason I chopped was to get a more functional buzz but as most noobs I just couldnt help myself these things have been growing since football season started!!! (actually put the germed seeds in cups on opening kickoff night)
I still have the majority of the plants still going and with this new found knowledege and a small but adequate stash I think Ill wait until they get more amber trichs. I harvested these as soon as I saw amber which was only at the very tops of the buds.
As soon as they dry Ill post a dry weight.
