Did I hang to dry for too long?

I think I may have waited too long before I trimmed and put into jars. My buds are crispy but real sticky. Easily smokable and not too harsh either. A very spacey high. MY question is will they dampen a little bit while curing? Also my buds are very fluffy right now. Will they tighten up at all?

the moisture content will be more evenly distibuted so it all depends on how moist the inside of the buds are. just take a few of the fan leaves or something like that for a few days if its really dry in the middle, it will absorb moisture from them.

If they are dry and sticky thats perfect what the hell were you expecting, as for airy buds you either have sativa or just picked too early or possibly weak lights, if they arent tight while growing they arent going to tighten up while drying. Sounds you have them just right for curing now. If you wait long enough the pistols recede back into the bud and this is what makes them "tight"

sounds like its time to trim a bit more and then jar, you can make hash out of the small leaves trimmed from the buds if they have lots of trichs. Good luck and if you picked early this will be a lesson learned as the last two weeks the buds grow like crazy and swell as the pistols pull back and it hardens.

Does any one else agree with Super200 on the "If you harvest too early your buds will be airey"?

Yup, that and what he sayad bout lights not being strong enough, both will affect your buds.

not letting the buds finish all the way is the cause of your buds being fluffy most likely, the last 2 weeks is when the buds really swell up and get denser. he never gave any info on his grow guys, how do you know he used cfls, no c02, cheap nutes? you can get dense buds from cfl grows, c02 isnt a must either, cheap nutes can give you dense buds.(im not saying that they dont help, because thats wrong, they will help quite a bit, your theories are all good) timing is the most important factor imo, we cant say its cuz of his setup if we dont know what it is.(my reply here also kinda falls into that category. lol, he never said when he harvested and if they were completely done.)

they probably knew because of his sig link, but i havn't looked at it so i can't say the info is true

CFL's + cheap doesn't always equal airy crap.
