Difference between mh grows and mhs grows

I am at the moment using a 400w metal halide bulb and last night i bought a high pressure sodium bulb what differences will i see during budding and in general?

MH is best for Veg and HPS is best for Flowering. And if you had to pick one for the whole grow you would be better off using the HPS

Be absolutely sure though that your ballast is able to run MH and HPS before you try though
