Just dial it down and see. I think its about a 3/4 turn from full to max dim.Hello
I’m a little bit confused about dimming. I have an ELG 150 48A driver with a 120w board. Now it’s at full power but I want to get down to 60watt. Can I turn the Io Adj potentiometer all the way down?i read that it only dim down 50%, that would be fine for me
I just told you what you need to do. You need to look at the current draw on a meter while you adjust it. You can't just turn the pot and guess. If you do then you could be running them at 30W or 70W.Ok lets make it simpler. I want 60w. What can I do?
Lo adj or Vo adj?Just dial it down and see. I think its about a 3/4 turn from full to max dim.
Guestimate. Nothing bad will happen
LOL! I give up. Good luck, and hopefully you won't damage your driver or LEDs by blindly adjusting it.Lo adj or Vo adj?
Lo is to dim lights. Vo is set to how many diodes you have, how the boards are wired, so don't touch that.Lo adj or Vo adj?
It is "Io", not "Lo" and that adjusts current. Vo adjusts voltage and isn't just set by how many diodes you have...it is set to the voltage you want to run the diodes at which is based on the number of diodes and how they are wired (series, parallel, or both).Lo is to dim lights. Vo is set to how many diodes you have, how the boards are wired, so don't touch that.
Totally unlikely that turning down current blindly will hurt anything. It will just dim.LOL! I give up. Good luck, and hopefully you won't damage your driver or LEDs by blindly adjusting it.
Dimming down wont hurt anything but it's just stupid to adjust a driver without knowing what kind of power and current you are sending to the lights. This is how bad shit happens.Totally unlikely that turning down current blindly will hurt anything. It will just dim.
A plug in watt meter isnt a bad thing to have if you dont want to mess with a meter.
No, it’s at the same position when I bought it. It’s a kit, so I hope it’s okAnd, BTW, you mentioned you set the Vo to full power?
I dimmed the Io all the way down and, like I saw in the gardener tutorial, it dimmed the light something like an half. I ordered a meter, let’s see if I reached 60watts.Dimming down wont hurt anything but it's just stupid to adjust a driver without knowing what kind of power and current you are sending to the lights. This is how bad shit happens.
