Disaster Chinese cob lights

I was pretty excited to get back into growing. Some time ago I built a room with hps lighting and this got crazy hot. I swore next go around I’d get led. So fast forward some years and here we go

I purchased a bunch of these used lights on Craigslist the other day. Thought 5 of these 800w cob and one of these 2000w was a no brainer. Turns out my research (after buying) tends to make me think they are junk.

should I slap some veso 18 se chips inthere or something. Those Cree jamies seem to need solder which is a no go for me.

this was suppose to be easy but now this room is verging on disaster. Should I throw these things out and chalk it up to another major L in my personal life or am I about to build it to something respectable?

I will post a couple pictures later today. They are red, with blurple lights, I think with fans over every single cob.

found these pics! I’m like 99% sure these are my lights. I have 5 of thes. Im just worried about my plants yielding garbage

should I put chips in these or chalk up another L

These are probably not great. I hope you didn't pay a lot. Might be ok for a veg/mother tent. Not sure you are gonna get much out of them in flower. Mind me asking what you paid? I have a pair of Amazon bplurple garbage lights that are doing OK in a 2x4 vegging and keeping mother plants and clones alive.

search on yt.. People were putting cree/citizen cobs inside those chinese rigs..

YOu just need to find which cob your drivers suits the most..
