Some say PM Is your conditions I say some are born plagued with this shi* ...

Kiddin

Lost 60% of my crop to PM been growing for 1 year 4 harvests fought PM every time .

I now have no fan leaves left period .

30 % humidity

23 lights on
18 lights off

Lighting
1000w hps
400w hps
400w hps
400w mh
150w hps

I went overboard with the amount of plants like way overboard I had 31 plants in a 8.5 x 10 area lost a handful to hermie and the rest to PM probably tossed over a pound of smoke over the past month .

Thankfully I am.moving in two weeks that means new grow rooms .

I will be looking at hepa intake filter and investing some money into filtration .

Now I will say this I was doing some work at a local lp for several weeks where they had bad PM about 15 thousand plants worth .

So clearly I brought it home with me and made my situation worse this was a while back .

I need to chop the rest of my plants ASAP

was running 12 /12 recently I changed that to 14 hrs on 10 off in Hope's of helping the plants finish quicker I guess my question is

Could I be more aggressive with the lighting ? Like 16 off 8 on ? Or would that possibly just make my pm worse ?

Currently the pm is not visible on the buses themselves just the remaining fan leaves and sugar leaves trying to trim here and there and vacuum the PM off daily (I do realize theres probably PM I cant see but I can live with that)

I do not care about yield I am actually 9.8 weeks into flower on mostly 8 week rqs strains .

Trichs just arent there yet I will harvest at the earliest time possible for sure .

I have learned alot this grow and my pain is mostly self inflicted with having to many plants although I didnt have big PM issues until flowering.

Just to re cap and end this rant

Should I or can I increase the dark period to be more aggressive to help them finish quicker or would that promote faster PM growth ?

Also I was thinking maybe the PM is bad to because of my temp swings like 23 to 24 lights on to 17 lights off I have been running a heater while lights out but not consistently was not to sure if it was helping or not .

Apprecite any advice I will update this post with photos this evening .

Seems like it's taking forever for the trichs to change but I will take another look and photos this evening and re post .

Other than the PM I will say this my plants are healthy still have green leaves and buds are ok size was using all used hps bulbs (wont do that again).

I believe I have more than sufficient airflow

900cfm exhaust to outside
1 big oscillating fan
2 mini fans creating a slightly breezy canopy

I also live on a lake where and its very very close to the home like 10 ft away .

You in a tent or a sealed room? If its PM every grow something is wrong with that environment, fungi laden. Increase humidity, your exhaust CFM should be 2 or 3 x that of fresh air intake. If growing in a tent DESTROY that tent u used, scrub the walls of the room its in with bleach.

Sorry should have mentioned that it's a 9 x 16 room it is not sealed I have a passive intake .only using about half the room for plants

Bad pic but gives you an idea ...I will def post good photos this evening .

EXHAUST is def needed, not just intake. Otherwise VPD (vapor pressure deficit)......Exhaust CFM needs to be 2 or 3 X more powerful then intake. Stagnant air, otherwise....blown around and not leaving.

Couch lock ....appreciate the advice this is the first grow in this room before I had a tent and outdoors I will admit I prob tracked the PM everywhere and am re spreading it ...

I will definitely take this way way more seriously next go around .

Not sure what caused it but good luck. I've never had PM but I've read about it. I make sure I keep humidity above 40% always, I like 50-60%......low humidity can create an environment ripe for bugs and PM.
