DIY 2 Plant Grow Box.

grow.jpg This is my first post but am not new to this particular trade lol. Thinking about Building a grow box with these Dimensions: 23in D, 42in W, 58in H. I'm going to have a Vanilla Kush(fem seed) and a AK-48(fem seed) and am thinking of using CFL's for veg. and perhaps a 150W HPS?? I wnted it to be small because of electric bill, and heating. Should that be enough? Im going to paint the inside White and I will have an 8in Intake fan on the bottom right and two 4 inch exhaust fans. I may even leave the top of the box open (no roof) still unsure though.. Also will have a few small circulating fans inside on ground to move air around.

The pic shows the dimensions where it will be placed and the lower line is a reference for potting space and the upper line is a reference for maximum light heighth and space. In between I should have a good 3 1/2 ft of grow foom for my plants. Done the research both strains stay pretty short also.

Let me know your thoughts or suggestions! Especially on what light I should use.. Thanks!

If you are just growing for personal, you should be able to get away with a 250 or 400w. I wouldn't mess around with any less than 400 for flowering, but that's just me. Since you are doing a grow box I highly recomend an air cooled hood. Make sure you have a fan and just watch them grow! Happy growing and welcome to RIU!:weed:

Yeah im considering the 250W thans for the advice guys and Valle I like your setup! Does anyone know a good hydro website that sells 250W HPS with a fan for cooling? Relatively cheap?

Htgsupply.com will get you a 250 with the euro hood for about 200 after shipping maybe a little more
