Hello fellow RIUers. About take my first clones from my first grow. Im doin two methods.....one of them will be with a aero cloner. My question is....Is it better to build one or buy one? Im leaning towards buildin however dont know which to pick as there are many blueprints and ideas on the net. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good blueprint or how to? Mind you im not the most handy person and i would like it to hold between 25-60 babies. Thanx for any help. Peace

I always just go to firehouse subs donate 2$ per red food grade buckets cut holes in the lid(comes with a built in o-ring)throw a water pump and netpots in that bad boy and get them going.

The first page of this link has the plans for an aerocloner; Stinkbud is the man:

I suggest diy-ing a cloner that is customized for your needs rather than paying somebody their markup plus shipping to build something that's really ez to build yourself.

Here's some pics of a 5g bucket aerocloner I just built- this one only does 4 sites but that's really all I need & this fits nicely inside my nursery/veg cabinet. I do have another similar type unit that holds 16 sites but I only run it if I need a whole bunch of clones quick fast in a hurry. The only trouble with large multi site cloners is that you need space to run it plus the space needed for all the clones you'll have once they are rooted out. This 4 site cloner works great for me but you could easily squeeze more if you used smaller netpots. Lemme know if ya need help.

just throwing out an alternative. unless your doing dwc or aero, i'd just start your clones a few days early and skip the complication of a cloner-- dixie cups and your medium will work just fine, the cloning machine might get them to root a few days sooner, but just start the clones a day or two earlier. essentially just solving with scheduling

The other type of way im cloning is with my medium. I would like to try both to see what best works for me. Thanx for the advice everyone. Much appreciated.
