Hey, all y'all successful cloners!
My DIY clonebox consists of
Problem: too much moisture, I think. That's the reason I began quartering the rockwool cubes, and I thought I was being careful to use perlite wetted with cloning solution and drained. We want DAMP, NOT WET, right?
So, let the perlite drain longer, increase the depth of the perlite and/or leave the lid off, right?
My DIY clonebox consists of
- an old human heating pad that only works on low/med anymore (never needed one before, but global weirding has caused lower than usual temps).
- 2 transparent shoebox sized food containers - one for the base, one for the lid.
- Quartered 1"+ rockwool cubes, rinsed with pH'd water, spin dried, and surrounded by 1.5" of straight perlite soaked with Olivia's cloning solution diluted in bubbled water.
