What up i've been doing alot of browsing in this fourm to try and figure all this out. Watched all Growmau5's vids and more browsing threads. I've come to understand it somewhat but not as much as I need to do a build. I got trigger happy and decided to purchase the main components for my build. I'm hoping what I decided to go with is going to work.I chose to go with citizen COBs 5 of the CLU048-1812C4-353H5K2 - 3500K 90 CRI. With a meanwell HLG-320H-C105A driver. I also have the new cutter 140x80 heatsinks on preorder. Anyways theres a couple things i''m not to sure about
CLU048-1812 - VF 52 range of 47.8-56.2 / Max 175.8watts
Meanwell HLG-320H-C105A - 152.4 - 304.8v
So how exactly do I figure out how many COBS a driver can handle. If i have 5 @ 52v that gives me 260v total which falls in the drivers range. Also how do I know how many watts the COBs are being run at. Is it the driver wattage divided by the amount of COBs? Lastly this driver has an internal potentiometer 525-1050ma how does that work. If this setup is going to work what kind of efficiency will this be. Any help with this will be much appreciated yea I still have alot to learn. Thanx
BTW I've been is this game since back in the days of overgrow when we still had to use dialup. Most of my DIY experience is in building various hydro systems. I just bought a FLUENCE Bioengeering SPYDERx Plus thats up and running with a hydro flooded tube setup. Its going on 3wks now all looks good. Definitely noticed shorter internode spacing and alot less stretch. I usually run a couple 600s or 1000s got 2 setups they get alternated replaced the 2 600watters with the spyder well see how it compares.I have done some electrical wiring up breaker boxes and outlets and HID controllers. This is also my first post ever wanna do it right and not cause any fires thats why I'm asking for help.
