Hey guys,
I've been doing my research on DIY COB and I am aiming for 310W. The pros here please hear out my spec and help me.
I'm going with 4 vero 29 D73SE COBS, CREE are out of my budget. 3500K 80CRI , with maximum current of 4.2A.
The driver I'm going with is 2.1A mean well, as I've read that vero se performs at max efficiency on a higher current unlike cree. This produce 178lumens/watt as per the data sheet provided.
Finding the heat sink was the most difficult of all, and using the ledgardener.com I calculated my thermal resistance of the cobs to be 0.7 degree celcius per watt.
This heat sink have a dia of 58(mm) cob dia(around 45) and can dissipate 0.78c/w.
What are your thoughts guys. I want to stick to one driver as well. As I'm from india and the cost of these imported equipments are very expensive than the actual price.
Thanks in advance guys.
