DIY CUSTOM BUILT 630w CMH LIGHT POSSIBLE?

So Ive always been a diy guy and like building things so I was wondering if anyone has saw this done before or done so themselves??

Don't tell me to just buy the 630w light fixture either please. This ain't what it's about. So anyway. My plan was to use some 8" sun system air cooled hoods I have laying around.

Rip apart the bulb connection and Weld it opposite side of the other fixture inside of the air cooled hood.. that way it'll look like a normal dual 315 fixture setup.. example below.

And to convert the fixture to support cmh. I would be using the cmh converter. Shown in picture

So my next question is.. how would I wire everything together to make it a full circuit to be plugged into a 630w digital ballast, that way I don't have to use 2x 315w ballast? Is this a stupid ideal or would it work ?

Make a grid fixture with multiple 70-100 watt mini CMH bulbs\ballasts.. Maybe even be able to use a splitter to power all the bulbs off one larger ballast? That's what I would do!

The make, or should I say made retro fit CMH bulbs that screw right into standard magnetic ballasts. You can re-use your old ballasts and still upgrade to CMH, without going digital square wave sales gimmick and buying new gear.

The efficiency of the newer style ballast and bulbs doesn't make up for the cost of them IMO.

My old 400 ballast with a 360w cmh retrofit bulb will probably out perform any new expensive 315, lol.
