I have built a diy cannabis dry box cardboard style I have only done hang dry with outdoor plants. This time it’s indoor and winter so I’m looking to lengthen my dry time you know for the sweeter smoother stronger flower.... I have 4 boxes one for each plant.. I guess what I really need help with is timer settings for extruder fan as I do not have a humidity controller yet... if I like the box idea l will get one. Does any one have examples or a knowledge drop that will not go unappreciated!! I am new to this forum have found it to be pretty great so far!! Thanks for taking the time!! Health n happiness friends. I should mention I’m thinking of starting out with 30mn on every 4 hrs good bad ugly? Haha . should I also hang as much plant as I can inside or limitations to that ? 8C916608-A8BF-4D15-98EA-C81DD7C58BEA.jpegF7EE04CE-8CB3-46E7-B664-B4E865A881FA.jpegDED58EBD-CE5A-44D8-8728-20A05A0D4420.jpegF5B3DC6C-6841-4C73-9B5B-B0AD6B10A7DD.jpeg

Nice box. I was drying in a similar setup, used a 120mm fan pulling air out and attached a piece of carbon filter to decrease airflow.

You will probably want to run the fan 100% of the time for the first 2-3 days, just check it frequently, then go to a 1-2 hours on 4-8 hours off when the buds start feeling dry to the touch.

YMMV because my box didn't have holes for intake (just punched through with a pencil) and the filter over the fan means there was a lot less airflow when turned off compared to yours.

Oh man im sorry you have way overthought this. You dont need a fan on the box at all. If your house is fairly dry, just having those couple holes will likely be enough to keep the humidity where you want it.

I did the same. The issue is the box is cardboard so its super dry and absorbs the moisture from the plants.

You will definitely want to put a Tupperware with towel half in and half out of the Tupperware.

Depending on the size of towel and Tupperware I have raised the RH from 35% to 70% doing this in the box.

Keep a fan at the bottom blowing below the buds. Not on the buds. Having the fan not only moves air but moisture as well.. Airflow temp and RH are the factors that cause a slow or a fast dry.

Lol, I gave up on the drying box in favour of just a closed cardboard box and then paper bags just because of the effort. Appearance was always better in the box than in the bags but it's all percy to me.

yeah- like this guy. Paper bag can be the best thing. Self regulates humidity and dries buds nice and slow. Personally i just use my tent. Leave one door cracked, no fans on. 12-14 day dry time.
