DIY Dry Box

I found a DIY drying box idea on here somewhere and ended up making one. Its just a wardrobe box with a bar to hang with a odor control filter.

My question is... do you need a PC intake van to push in cool air? I have 2 I can hook up for intake/exhaust.. but from the page I saw the person just put slits in the bottom for intake and 1 fan for exhaust.

Is there a benefit to having 2 fans or is just 1 exhaust good enough

I'm in the process of building one myself but I'll be running a carbon filter and inline fan, exhausting the scrubbed air out of the box and passively drawing in air through a HEPA filter.

If you are using PC fans to exhaust, I'm assuming you will not be scrubbing the air first but the overall concept is the same. The key is not having still air in a box where moisture will be departing your harvested green. I don't honestly think the PC fan on the intake is really necessary as long as you have vents to let fresh air in to replace the exhausted air but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. Little extra airflow could be good for circulation but also bad if blown directly at your herb. Too much air blowing on the buds can dry them too quickly and well, I don't know if you have ever smoked bud that has been dried too fast but its a very 'Meh' experience.

Sorry for the novel. I'm a long winded SOB.

lol no worries I appreciate lengthy replies. Ya man, there's been a couple of grows where I use to live with the parents and had to quickly dry it in very harsh conditions and it completely ruined it.

Sucks when that happens. That's alright man. I know a guy that used to dry his stuff in a cardboard box suspended above his wood stove. Can't have been worse than that. Lol
