Best thing you can do IMO to get away from using crappy expensive bottled nutes that make your weed taste like chemicals is to start a worm bin. Then you can literally feed your plants with kitchen scraps. Fresh earthworm castings are the best thing to add to your mix & allow you to recycle your soil over & over. Plus EWC is the basis for most aerated teas; you won't need nutes again. Recycled mix gets better with age it does not degrade & can easily be recharged upon depletion. I have not spent a dime on my grow besides the power bill in months.
I wish somebody told me about this when I started out; woulda saved me a ton of cash spent at the hydro store on stuff that I didn't even need. My worm factory 360 was like $70 from Amazon & the worms were super cheap...think I paid like $18 for 200 red wigglers. Best investment I've made in my grow. Free worm castings, a few soil amendments, & clean water is all you need to grow the tastiest bud you've ever smoked.
