Hello guys, thought I would share my build and ask some questions as well. I've been in the middle of building a 4'x8' grow tent with all the good stuff. Right now I'm building my first 12 3590 cob LED grow light at 640watts and 2.8 amps. I have 2 drivers... each driver is 320watts and 1.4 amps, each driver will have 6 cobs, my question is... can I splice these 2 drivers together into one extension cord? Or should I have 2 seperate plugs for it? I have just the structure made and everything mocked-up, wiring and powering for the first time tomorrow afternoon.

Depending on your electrical system and fuses it may be better to have the 2 drivers on separate timers as they will pull a lot of current the moment theyre switched on which can trip your fuses. You look slightly light on wattage for your space.
 
Are you sure of your cob selection? There are plenty of better chips nowadays. Cree cxb where the champs in 2015-2016 but not anymore really.
 
Yes, but generally those good things were written in 2015-2016.

If youre us based it would be a good idea to check out @CobKits thread where he compares a whole load of cobs. Its quite long, maybe he can show you the right pages/graphs.

Cree isnt a bad chip, its just a little bit more expensive than other equal (or better) chips. Ymmv
