Just wondering if anyone here has designed their own boards in KiCad ? Didn't really occur to me until revisiting a few mechanical keyboard sites and reading over the threads that got me interested in designing my own keyboard PCB. There are a few open source keyboard PCBs out there, just wondering if anyone is doing anything with LED PCBs.
I'm a long way from learning how to design a keyboard PCB but the LED PCBs seem like they might be an easier learning experience for a functioning PCB design. I've only designed one PCB in KicCad and had it fabricated. However, it was simply an exercise to learn the UI and it had no real electrical connections. Just a simple soldering tip holder for the Hakko iron. I just enjoy making my own things as much as possible and having the ability to customize from the ground up. Just another nerd that likes to DIY.
Anyone doing this and care to share some pointers or ideas ?
