Yes and yes, you can replace the diodes individually even using just a higher temp soldering iron, and yes a row out on your board can force the other rows in that section to "overdrive" not usually a problem but can cause issues over time, like premature failure.

Those 561Cs have really good thermal handling, iirc their thermal coefficient is even lower than the 301Cs.

Yep - mine too. Had driver take a shit before those boards did. 304’s still working fine- no burned diodes.

They were unsure of the cause. My drivers would only give about 120 watts per board at 100%, so idk how I would have over driven them. I did have issues with the boards doing this while dimmed, and now that I say that I may wire some boards to a driver with no dimmer and see if they stay the same.
I was able to just order some replacement boards (the last of their r spec and the remaining 3k non r spec) and they said they had no plans on restocking the qb288, and only other place I can find them is cobkits.com or something for 90 dollars a piece. So that sucks for all us qb288 users. Is there another board that uses 54v drivers?

Mine are from when the r spec launched, so I think 2019, can't really complain too much. They've got tons of hours on them

part of HLG's problem, and actually the most of the horticultural light indistry, is that Samsung no longer is in the LED business! I believe production stopped a couple months ago. So HLG has to go to a new supplier, maybe Nichia. No more QB 288, no more Diablo boards... Glad I have a couple spares!
( I still have a couple QB 304 boards, new in the box! )
**** Was just on HLG site, they have refurbed QB288 for $29.00 and Diablos for $40.00!!

301b's thermal resistance is almost 2X as good as the 561c's. In each datasheet.
301b=7.5c/w
561c=12c/w
last time buys end of june 25, last deliveries dec 25
Cree has the one drop in for the odd 301 footprint. Otherwise is the time for everyone to move to quality 2835's. Flip chip 2835's are here already too.

Do you know any manufacturer making a replacement alternative for the lm301h evo? To the best of my memory the dropp in cree version is using a 450nm photon pump.
