Quick explanation of what I did:
My lux meter battery died mid measurement. After replacing the battery, the meter starting giving me lower lux values than it did with the dying battery. I was documenting the whole grow but now all the previous lux values are fobar. I downloaded Photone as well and was reading 270ppfd with it prior to losing track of what my lux meter was telling me.
So... I've read that autoflowers can handle basically 40 DLI the whole grow, and decided to set the light at 375ppfd 20/4 according to the Photone app. This came out to 27 DLI so I figured this should be a safe setting for now. But after watching the time lapse I took after changing the light intensity, the new young leaves starting folding in on each other (praying hands) and the the older leaves started lowering (all within 6 hours).
She only got this amount of light for 6 of the 20 hours before I lowered the intensity after the dark period was over (now 300ppfd with the camera rolling to see how it responds).
So can autoflowers really handle high ppfd instantly? Or does it need to climb over time? Apparently a 100 ppfd change made my plant want to fold in half even though it didn't even top out at 22 DLI that day.....
I'm using a 3500k samsung diodes with 660nm reds as well. I have a new ipad I'm using that's diffused for the Photone.
