Do Auto flowers have maximum genetic potential?

If you could theoretically grow in big pots, growing in optimum conditions with as many lights as possible, will it come a point where you are over suppling them because of the predetermined life cycle.

Id like to know what you find out i havent really seen anything other than starting them in their final pot and dont top or cut to much or they dont get as big im new to autoflowers as well
