Do i need a box?

I have a 400w hps and a bunch of cfl's. Do i need a box? I had one before and it was really hard to keep the temp right. Plus I dont have the time or money to build or buy one? could i just stick them in the corner and make the two sides reflective?

i used a conor befor to just grow it never fower. i used my closet to flower

When in flowering your plants need 12 hrs of complete dark(no light what so ever). You are just gonna have to pick up some kind of inline like this one http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52609 its a fan filter combo. i recomend getting a tent like this one
