do i need a red spectrem cfl?

im currently using a 250w cfl for 2 lowryder2 plants, but do i really need a red spectrem bulb for flowering or can i just reduce the hours of lighting? this applies for when growing other plants also.

You can use what you have. probably like 5000K or 6500K?
Its just better to kick in a 3000K if you got it.
