do i need a squirrel cage?

i have a 2W X 4L x 8' tall veg and a flower room set up. do i really need a squirrel cage in a ventilated room? or can i just use a fan or small 6in. fans?

ventilation is your best friend i promise you that.....

My grow cabinet is just a hair bigger than yours, and I use one 6 inch for intake, one for exhaust and have a 600w in there plus a circulating fan, and it stays right at 78 degrees. Now I also have a portable air conditioner keeping the room around the cabinet at 65 degrees.

If I did it over, I would put 4 fans, 2 for intake, and 2 for exhaust. I prefer overkill and cooler temperatures and money is not an issue. My 2 cents, hope it helps

one six inche can fan for each intake and exhaust would be sufficient enough.....in my 8x8 with six lights is cooled down to 70 with just a 12 inche intake and outake
