Do I need an Intake and Exhaust for this setup?

I have a basement setup going in, its 15 x 17 and 8 ft tall

As of right now I have 2 1000w on tracks.

nights are 65 and day is 90

I have no exhaust or intake fans in the room.

I run a co2 reg on a osc fan.

A frind cam over and said I have to run an intake and exhaust...But I was told that if its a sealed room you dont need fresh air...you only need that for the co2.

So do I need the exhaust and intake or not?

yes, fresh air will make the plants healthier, just think what would happen if you had to sit in an enclosed room day in day out,
also it will help your temps out, 90 is a tad too high.

In a sealed room there is no intake or exhaust..

My friend has his lights cooled but no intake or exhaust just a co2 burner, with ac

the ac just circulates the stale room air...no fresh air there

OK...you can do it your friends way or do it the correct way.

Plants need fresh air to breathe and for optimum health. It's called respiration. They have pores on the leaves called stomata which are used by the plant to exchange oxygen and Co2. With fresh air circulating there's really no need to supplement with Co2 because it occurs naturally.
And think of it this way...would you want to sit in a room for weeks at a time breathing the same old air. Have you ever slept in a tent over night and the next morning found that the air smelled clean and fresh after stepping out?

But I think the confusion comes in when he pops the CO2 tank. That replenishes the 'lost' CO2 concentration.

I do feel fresh/new air change over twice with lights on and once right before they go out would be a good thing. But being a basement, I'd rather not use basement air as new/fresh.

that is to much of a temperature change and may stress plants. Preferably the temp change should be no larger then 15 degrees
