I am not sure since this is my first grow if my plants are just big or stretched.. what is the difference? Is it if you see the trunk of the plant between the leaves? here are some pics. and how do i keep my clones from repeating the pattern?

They don't look stretched. The difference is noticable, when you see it - you'll see waaaay too much stem between the nodes. Stretching isn't usually a problem with genetics - it'll be because the light was too far away from them. To solve it, move the light closer.

from that camera angle those plants do not look badly stretched. you judge stretch by the distance between nodes - an inch or two is great, 5 inches would be stretched. the more the nodes the more budding sites you have, so it is kind of important.

you control stretch with the strength and closeness of the light. the weaker the light and the further away it is the more stretch you will get.
