do u rinse ur ph pen after its been in the buffer sloution before taking a reading ?

as the title says do use guys rinse ur ph pen in normal water after u av callibrated ya pen in buffer solution 7 then take ya reading ?
or do use take it out of the buffer solution and straight into ur water for a reading ?
and whats the precise way to store after use do i rinse it clean with tap water ?


i only ask coz i av a cheap ass one that needs to be rinsed in distilled water after buffering and before ya take ya reading,, this aqua pal pen aint specific on this !!!!

Contamination is hard to avoid, if you wash your pen off with tap then you have tap on it instead of the solution. I use mine as much as I need to, rinsing it lightly in between testing nutes. I store it in the cap with storage solution. Seems to work fine.

I'm w/ Applesauce, I rinse with RO water and store in solution. Never store your pen in de-ionized water.Also I try to shake off all excess water before storage.

Basically I do the same as Applesauce / Cepha, only I rinse my meter off using distilled water before I test my nutrient solution, and let it sit in a shot glass of distilled water until I finish with all my mixing. then I use a second clean shot glass w/dis wtr and rinse off meter and wipe off excess water before returning it to a small glass full of testing solution I use to store the meter in. just sayin...LOL
