I meant like if you saw it in person, if you went over to a friends house, and their plants look shitty. Are you gonna tell them? Or would you not, because it might hurt their feelings

What if your friend was growing some landrace from wherever and you didn't know you were making a fool of yourself?
I thought ihad some pretty kick ass outdoor plants last summer. My first legit non-guerilla style grow. I learned so much from that grow in what not to do or what I could do better. Gave indoor a run over the winter, it was on my second run that I realized how much I sucked on the first.

& my plants are 4 inches tall right now, I just checked.
the only reason I'm asking this, is because when I browse on here, I see posters sharing pictures of some really decrepit looking plants, contrasted with these beautiful fucking sugar coated, crystallized looking plants that could send a pixie into heat. it's night and day literally. I can't help but fathom some people are allowing their friends to grow bad looking marijuana plants.

an acquaintance on here, i popped to see his WHITE LABEL WHITE ICE plants in his 3x400w HPS grow and straight away noticed he had spider mites and plants were looking worse for wear.
I told him straight
You didn't really say what was wrong with it beside it looked shifty. It it all fried up? Is it small and underdeveloped airy or small nugs?
Either it wasn't fed enough, fed too much, didn't have enough light, didn't have enough airflow. If it didn't come out up to par why do you just ask him if he's going to change anything next time to get a better result? What do you think can be improved?

Too many factors come into play here. Your pheno (if you've hunted one down), grow environment, nutes, lights, CO2, the overall look of the plant, and the list goes on and on. But if you're talking about when to chop. You really need a microscope, or a 60 x's loupe to inspect the trichs for mostly cloudy, and a very little amber.. amber means it's already degraded and converted to CBN/CBG..... experience also helps. Just do it over and over again
