Does 1 FT Make a Difference?

So i’m wanting a 4x2 Tent and i thought i decided on the Vivosun 48”x24”x60” but the more i looked i found some that are 72” instead of 60” will that one foot make a difference? and is it worth going with a brand i’m not sure about? The 2 i found on amazon are TopoGrow 48”x24”x72” or Oppolite with the same size. both do have a few 1 star reviews so makes me kinda sketch.
What do you guys think? or are their other brands i should look in to?
Also while your here what light would you suggest for a 4x2 tent? i was thinking SpiderFarmer SF2000.

Get as tall as you can fit in your space :mrgreen: Never gonna wish you had less space. Taller gives you more options.
I just got a tent from a company called Zazzy on Amazon. Great price, good quality, and a few people on here are using them with good reviews.
I built a light out of 4 qb120's from HLG and a 320 watt driver for under $300, and it works great. Get the best you can afford :blsmoke:

Extra foot makes a huge difference. Gives yourself an extra foot of vertical space to grow larger plants.
I grow in a 3x3 gorilla w extension and my tent is 7' 11" in height. I've grown 5 foot plants in there with room to spare. Cheers.

I think the more height the better. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!
There are always gonna be a few bad reviews on anything. Partly because some people don't read the specifications or instructions. Others are just idiots and like to complain. Just find one in the size and price range you want with overall good reviews. I have a Mars Hydro tent that I'm happy with. Gorilla makes good tents. I (just ordered) and really like the tents AC Infinity sell but their 2x4 is only 60". You'll find that you need to go with a 4x4 or larger with most brands to get a 72" or 80" height.

The taller the better. When youve got your fan/filter and light on the ceiling, space gets used up quick.

I would highly recommend this tent if you are looking at the 2x4 vivosun. Its only a little bigger and a full 80'' tall.


Or get a 4x4 if you have the space. These are 84'' tall.

I highly recommend against gorilla tents. The way the zippers and doors work is so fucking stupid and over engineered. 5 zippers and probably a dozen velcro bits holding the flaps closed to get the doors open. The vivosun and covert tents have a continuous zipper and no velcro flaps so it takes all of 2 seconds to open/close them. And ive never had a light leak issue with either brand. The gorillas are better built but way over engineered.

can confirm. Covert is the best I've found so far. I have 2 of them. top quality construction and parts. nothing falling apart after a year of use.

going to order a 2x4 from AC Infinity once they go back on sale next week. no clue on quality but they look pretty sweet and great prices. if they are as high quality as their fans might be my new go to.

I think their fans are junk..... Way overpriced for what you are getting.

Their tents look great but they are short and the 4x4 and 5x5 do not have side doors. Thats a deal breaker for me. Ill take the 4'' taller covert with side doors any day!

I also have both covert and vivosun. Both are acceptable quality. I wish they were more heavy duty like the gorillas but without all the extra zippers and flaps. Getting inside a gorilla tent is like getting inside a nun where getting inside a Covert is like getting inside a Vegas whore. I just wish the covert had thicker canvas, thicker poles, and slightly better zippers.

Give me a Vegas whore over a nun any day of the week, especially Sunday. That whole idea of dying and having "50 virgins in heaven"; fuck that. Sounds more like hell to me. Give me a half dozen whores.

The gorilla is just to much fiddle fucking around. I probably open my big tent twice a day every day. The gorilla i had probably took me about 1 minutes to open and 3-4 to close. I dont have 10 minutes a day to spend fucking around with zippers and flaps.

Bahaha I want 6 whores and the nun still. I like to have fun but need them walls I mean zippers to be of good quality. The gorilla may be takes more time to get in and out but leaves you wanting for none.

Their fans are certainly high priced but not junk. I have used hundreds for over a decade in electronic enclosures and server racks and have yet for one to go out.

always wondered how you reach the back if a 4x4 or 5x5 lol. thanks for pointing that out, feel like an idiot. also thanks for pointing out that extra height. even the 2x4 is 7ft tall vs 5ft for the AC infinity version.

Did you check out the 60x32x80 vivosun tent? Its a really nice size. you can easily reach any part of the tent through the one door. And its 80'' tall.
