Does a bigger cabinet always mean a bigger bulb?

Hey Guys,

Hope your all keeping comfortably high. :)

I'm moving to a bigger wardrobe that's been converted as we speak, my questions is.... What improvements are going to have to be made to the lighting system in order to make the move?

I have gone from growing 1 plant in a: 85mm(H) x 70mm(L) x 37mm(W), running a 125w CFL.

And about to grow 3 plants in a: 1725mm(H) x 1168mm(L) x 762mm(W)

The battle at the moment is between a 2ft T5 with 4 tubes OR a high output 250w CFL, Has anyone got any experience with this or any feedback? HID or sodium isnt really the route i want to go down at the moment.

Thanks!
Noobler x

IMO it's a combo between ventilation, lights, temp and humidity. More light = happy plants.

I've got a 1524mm x 609mm x 609mm. Started with 200w cfl, and added a 150w HPS. Glad I did. I keep 1-4 plants (varies) at 254mm (H) with a scrog net. Very bright in there for flower! I'm happy with my current set-up.

I have a 300mm (H) chamber below with two 36w, 3 ft, t5's for clones.

You could barely fit a 125W CFL bulb in a 85mm70mmx37mm box. That's about the size of a cardboard lightbulb box though.

Yes, you will need more light if you have more area of canopy to cover and even more light if you intend on growing taller plants.

Ha well picked up on the measurement error Church!

In a complete U turn, ive now opted for a 600watt HIT :/. I've fitted the scrog and flowering is now underway!

Will post some pictures when my lights come on in an hour or 2.

Thanks for all the input :)
